Through collaboration, leadership is efficiency.
Resource management is the future of creativity, research, performance, and education; effectively conserved by the people closest to it; and supported by the global community. Today’s leaders must prepare next generation educators, performers, scholars, and innovators to explore and engage in meaningful partnerships. Relationships built upon strong area and global communities are essential to achieving perpetual strategies for sustainability.
Through advocacy, leadership is communication.
Communication is the avenue by which leaders balance expectation and promote vision. Expectation provides the purpose of mission, while vision is the heart of innovation, evolution and change necessary for progress. Leaders must be committed to the advancement of vision and mission through active faculty, student, staff and community participation, connected listening, diversity and inclusion, consistent feedback, perpetual evaluation, humor, and practical realizations.
Through understanding, leadership is engagement.
Engagement is a leader’s motivation, commitment, dedication, and passion to possess values. Based within a positive global perspective, effective leaders promote the sentiment and desire for the existence and conservation of creation, performance, scholarship, innovation, education, and research. Values are what inspire purpose, clarity and confidence in leadership; yet one must maintain the flexibility to operate within diverse or ambiguous situations.
Through innovation, leadership is exploration.
Exploration is the creation, integration, and participation that encourage constructive growth and innovation within a team or across an organization. The outcome of creativity and the prospects of possibility must rely on the preservation of accomplished traditions and learned experiences. Leaders must promote and foster relationships between resources, explore and initiate relevant collaborations, engage with the technological and cultural landscapes that contribute to conservation, communication, engagement and exploration.
